The Municipality of West Nipissing has nine (9) fire stations and one (1) first response station.

Human Resources:
The Municipality of West Nipissing has one (1) fire chief, six (6) full-time fighters, three (3) part-time firefighter and 131 volunteer firefighters.

- Structural, vehicle, grass, brush, forestry, marine firefighting
- Awareness level hazardous material
- Vehicle accidents & vehicle extrication
- Transportation incidents involving vehicles, trains, aircraft and watercraft - Water and ice rescue – shore based, water entry, vessel etc.

- Police assistance
- Public utilities assistance
- Ambulance assistance
- Community emergency plan participation
- Fire investigation practices in determining cause & origin
