Public Notice
Flooding Emergency Update 13

June 7, 2019, 2:00 pm

Lake Nipissing’s water level has receded to an average of 196.37 m. Minimal precipitation and warmer temperatures are forecasted over the weekend, which should cause the water levels to continue to recede or remain stable.

The Minnehaha Bay Boat Launch will be reopened as of 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2019. Marina Services will not be available over the weekend; however, the Launch will be open for public use at no charge. The Secondary Boat Launch in Cache Bay remains open. All other Municipal launches are closed until further notice. Boaters are urged to respect the NO WAKE ZONE and should plan accordingly, anticipating for a slower return trip.

Boat Launching Considerations:

  • Expect some vehicle congestion, please be patient with other boaters and help one another.
  •  Be mindful of dangerous floating debris.
  •  Navigate with caution and respect NO WAKE regulations

Motorists are reminded to adhere to road closure signs as road closures remain in effect.

We will provide updates as new information becomes available. For any flood-related concerns or inquiries, contact us at 705.753.1171.
